[NY] How to get your RON/Electronic Endorsement in New York

Before you can use the Notary Hub platform by Everything Legal, you must already hold an active traditional notary commission in New York.

Note: If you do not have a notary license, you must first obtain your traditional commission before applying for Remote Online Notarization (RON) authorization.

Steps to Become a RON in New York

Every state that allows Remote Online Notarizations (RON) requires the use of an approved software platform that includes:

  • Identity-proofing technology
  • Electronic signing and digital seal functionality
  • Secure storage of notarial act recordings

Notary Hub provides all of these features—and more.

You can:

  • Obtain a cloud-based X.509 Digital Certificate from our SSL partners (or use your existing certificate). [Get Your Digital Certificate](X509 Certificate Setup Guide)
  • Create your Electronic Signature and Electronic Notary Stamp/Seal directly within our all-in-one platform.
  • Use the built-in Electronic Journal to record each notarization and securely store video recordings for 10 years, accessible to download for your records anytime via your electronic journal logs.
