[NM] How to get your RON/Electronic Endorsement in New Mexico

Before you can use the Notary Hub platform by Everything Legal, you must be currently commissioned as a traditional notary.

Step 2: Take a Training Course and Pass an Exam

The New Mexico Secretary of State requires both a
training course and exam
for RON authorization.

The National Notary Association (NNA) is the approved provider for this training and exam.

You must:

  • Pass the exam with a score of 80% or higher.
  • Include your Certificate of Completion with your RON application.

Step 3: Submit the Remote Online Notary Application, Course Certificate & Filing Fee

After completing the training, submit the
Remote Online Notary Application Form
to the New Mexico Secretary of State by mail.

Filing Fee: $75
Payable by check, money order, or operating transfer made out to
New Mexico Secretary of State or NMSOS.

Include the following details in your application:

  • Full legal name (matching your current notary commission).
  • Commission number and expiration date.
  • Mailing address and contact information.
  • Name of RON system(s) to be used (Notary Hub by Everything Legal).
  • Description of technology used for journal and recording storage.
  • Signature and date.

Step 4: Submit the Stamp Registration Form

Within 45 days of your remote online notary application approval, you must:

Failure to submit proof of your stamp within 45 days may result in a referral to the State Ethics Commission.


Step 5: Await Approval & Begin Performing RONs

Once your application and registration have been processed, the New Mexico Secretary of State will confirm your approval via email.

After approval, you may begin performing Remote Online Notarizations through
NotaryHub.com and expand your notarial services across New Mexico.
