[ND] How to get your RON/Electronic Endorsement in North Dakota​
Before you can use the Notary Hub platform by Everything Legal, you must be currently commissioned as a traditional notary.

Steps To Become a RON in North Dakota​

Step 2: Review the Applicable Rules & Statutes of the State​
North Dakota law allows notaries public commissioned in the state to perform Remote Online Notarizations (RON).
The specific requirements for RON are outlined in
N.D.C.C ยง 44-06.1-13.1.
Step 3: Notify the Secretary of State That You Will Perform Remote Online Notarizations​
Before performing your first RON, you must notify the North Dakota Secretary of State and provide details about your chosen communication technology provider.
Your notice must include:
- Notification that you will be performing notarial acts for remotely located individuals.
- The name of the provider of the communication technology you will use (e.g., Notary Hub by Everything Legal).

Allow several weeks for the Secretary of State to process your application and confirm your authorization for electronic notarization.
Additional Notes​
- No training or exam is required to become a North Dakota remote notary.
- You do not need an additional surety bond beyond the existing $7,500 bond required for your traditional commission.
- There is no registration fee to become a remote online notary in North Dakota.
