[MD] How to get your RON/Electronic Endorsement in Maryland​

Before you can use the Notary Hub platform by Everything Legal, you must be currently commissioned as a traditional notary.

Note: If you do not already have a notary license, you will need to complete that as your first step.

Obtain your Electronic Notary Seal, Electronic Signature, and Digital Certificate from our partners at SSL through our all-in-one platform.

Everything Legal also provides you with the required Electronic Journal for documenting your remote online notarizations.

Step 2: Download and Complete the Remote Notary Notification Form​

To register as a Remote Online Notary (RON) in Maryland, complete, sign, and submit the official
Remote Notary Notification Form
provided by the Maryland Office of the Secretary of State.

There are two types of remote notary notification forms:

  • One for notaries public performing remote notarizations using an authorized RON platform (like Notary Hub)
  • One for notaries performing remote acts using other communication technologies

Notaries using Notary Hub by Everything Legal should use the first form linked above.

Submit your completed form and a copy of your current notary commission to:

Step 3: Receive Confirmation from the Secretary of State​

After submission, the Maryland Secretary of State (SOS) will review your form.
You will receive an email confirming your authorization to perform remote notarial acts once approved.

If your submission is incomplete or incorrect, you will be notified via email and may re-submit your corrected form for approval.

Step 4: Begin Your RON Journey!​

Once approved, you’re ready to begin performing Remote Online Notarizations with
NotaryHub.com.
